The Holocaust is one of the most awful phenomena which is known all over the world. In this essay it is necessary to analyze this issue from all points of view. The Holocaust in Belarus refers to the Nazi crimes during the occupation of Belarus by Nazi Germany on the territory of contemporary Belarus, and against the ethnic Belarusians outside it. We think this part of our history is very important for us. A lot of people consider that we should remember this event and it is consequences it would never repeat again. WeI agree with them but not everyone shares this point of view. Other people think it is necessary to form the youth groups which will continue such events as the Holocaust. We protest against these disgusting opinions. As for us personally we think these people are very cruel. We would like to present you some facts from history. In February 1942, the Germans set up the ghetto into which they sent three thousand people. In spring 1942, five hundred Jews were sent to Yuratishkia, 14 kilometers from Ivye, and were ordered to move a broken-down tank. This task took 2 days, and whoever broke down was executed on the spot by their escorts. Finally, we have discussed this problem and understood how awful the Holocaust in Belarus was. Everybody knows Belarus lost a quarter of its pre-war population, including practically all its intellectual elite and 90% of the country's Jewish population.
