Первой гимназической лингвистической смены для одарённых детей
"Погружение в лингвистическую атмосферу Пояснительная записка
Данный образовательный проект составлен в соответствии с планом работы МОБУ "Гимназия №7" как центра лингвистических компетенций; обеспечивает целостный подход в изучении английского языка с применением игровых технологий и полного погружения в языковую среду. При организации и проведении смены соблюдены принципы индивидуализации обучения, доступности, наглядности. Деятельность детей носит обучающий, творческий, исследовательский, интеллектуальный, познавательный характер. Цель: повышение мотивации учащихся к изучению английского языка путем создания естественных условий, способствующих развитию культуры личности и личностного самоуправления.
Задачи смены:
* развивать речевые и интеллектуальные способности школьников;
* укреплять физическое здоровье учащихся;
* снять языковой барьер и активизировать процесс речевой деятельности посредством постоянной необходимости применять свои умения и навыки;
* развивать творческие способности и учить осуществлять свободное общение на английском языке;
* расширять кругозор;
* научить работать в команде.
Продолжительность смены - 8 часов.
Место деятельности: центр детского отдыха "Салют".
Организация работы смены
В смене участвуют гимназисты 5-11 классов, успешно изучающие английский язык, имеющие хорошую языковую подготовку по предмету и способные работать в углубленном режиме. Формируются команды по 8-10 человек в каждой, назначаются руководители из числа учителей английского языка. У каждого лингвистического отряда есть собственный гимн и эмблема. Образовательные мероприятия разделены на две части: первая половина проходит до обеда, вторая - после обеда. Таким образом, дети не устают, не теряют интереса, внимательности. Каждый учитель ведет определенные языковые занятия, которые проводятся в нестандартной форме с использованием игровых технологий. Вторая часть занятий посвящена работе над творческими проектами. По окончании смены ребятам вручаются именные сертификаты и памятные призы.
Особенностью образовательного компонента лингвистической смены является не только обеспечение свободного выбора из предложенных мероприятий, но и коллективные формы работы. Массовые формы работы:
* олимпиада;
* страноведческая викторина "Англо-говорящие страны";
* лингвистический конкурс( "Лестница успеха");
* английский концерт.
Групповые формы работы:
* умные и смешные НЕ-УРОКИ; * проектная деятельность в команде;
* мастер-класс по проведению игр англо-говорящих стран.
Разработчики программы считают, что языковой лагерь - это лучший шанс повысить уровень знаний по английскому языку за короткий промежуток времени, получить массу приятных впечатлений, приобрести новых друзей и отдохнуть с пользой.

"My City at a Glance"
Тема урока: "My city at a glance".
Технологии : метод проектов, обучение в сотрудничестве.
Цель урока: активизировать самостоятельную работу учащихся, улучшить способы командного взаимодействия учеников друг с другом, вовлечь детей в процесс общения, используя метод проектов. Задачи урока:
* Развивающие - формировать активную познавательную позицию, развивать память и речевое мышление, творческие способности учащихся.
* Образовательные - вовлечь учащихся в поисково-исследовательскую деятельность, отработать освоенные в речи лексические и грамматические структуры.
* Воспитательные - активизировать личностную позицию ученика, овладеть навыками командного взаимодействия, формировать навыки терпеливого и доброжелательного общения (толерантность).
Оборудование урока: плакаты и фотографии города.

II. The topic of our today's discussion is "My city at a glance". Before speaking on the subject let's practise our pronunciation skills. I can think of six thin things,

III. Warming-up activities
We'd like you to answer the questions about your native city.
- What anniversary of our city are we going to celebrate soon?
- When are we going to celebrate it?
- When did the village Semyonovka get the town status?
- Who was our town named after?
- Why was it named after V.K. Arseniev?
- IV. Reading activities
Scan the text for some minutes and find as many facts about our city as possible.
V. Discussion of the text
- Speak about the geographical position of the city.
- Characterize the economic situation of the city.
- Comment on the city education.
- Describe sport and cultural facilities.
- ay what places of interest you would advise foreigners to visit.
VI. Heading "Do you know that..."
Now we are going to work with the heading "Do you know that..." about the facts from the history of Arseniev. Find the information which is new for you in the text.
VII. Results of the discussion
The result of our discussion will be your team project work "My city at a glance". It is going to take place after dinner.

MY NATIVE TOWN (Мой родной город, 10 класс)
I'd like to tell you about my native town Arseniev. It's a small town in the Primorsky territory in the Far East of our country. Up to 1952 it was a working village Semyonovka. The population of our town is about 70 thousand people.
It should be mentioned that in 1952 it got the town status. Arseniev is named after a well-known scientist Vladimir Klavdievich Arseniev who explored Ussury taiga very well.
The town is situated in a picturesque place. Rich forests and hills surround it. Present-day Arseniev has straight green streets with rows of multi-storied buildings. There are two big plants in our town: "Progress" and "Askold". The workers of the plants have actively participated in building a better life. They have made a great contribution to the industrialization and strengthening its defence capacity (o6opоноспособность). The plants produced important production for our country: aircrafts, helicopters, units for ships, rockets, washing machines and many other things. But now the plants almost do not work because they have no state order. The current economic reforms have led our plants to the decadent state, to the relaxation of the might of our enterprises. I'm sorry to say that many people have happened to be without their jobs and means of existence.
However our town has 10 secondary schools and 2 vocational schools. It's the town of students. It has one technical secondary school, some higher educational establishments. Besides there are schools for talented children: Music school, Art school and Children's Circus school.
People in our town have all opportunities for going in for sports. The town has two Palaces of Sports, the Sport Complex and a Sport school for children. We have some places for rest and entertainment; two Parks of Culture, two Palaces of Culture, a cinema are at the disposal of the citizens.
I'd like to say that our museum pays special attention to the development of our town. The exhibits and papers of the museum tell us about the history of our town, about those people who made a great contribution to the development of the town. The museum is visited by many people of our town and out-of-town ones (иногородние). There are also some fine libraries in the town. They are a great help for those who study and who are fond of reading.
Not far from our town there is the river Arsenievka. Our people like to spend their free time there especially in summer.
In conclusion I can say that our people are very industrious. Most of them have country plots and kitchen gardens where they grow different vegetables and fruit in spite of the unstable situation of town forming enterprises. People love their town and hope that their life will improve (улучшится). As for me I consider our town to be the most beautiful one.
