4.
Birth and childhood.
Marriage and moving in London.
Shakespeare as an actor and a playwright.
Famous plays by W. Shakespeare.
William Shakespeare is one of the greatest and most
famous writers in the world. He was born in 1564 in
Stratford-on-Avon. It was a small English town. His
father wanted his son to be an educated person and
William was sent to the local grammar school, he had
no free time.
Stratford-on-Avon
Stratford-upon-Avon is a popular tourist destination
owing to its status as birthplace of English playwright and
poet William Shakespeare, and receives an estimated 4.9
million visitors a year. The Royal Shakespeare
Company resides in Stratford's Royal Shakespeare Theatre.
William married when he
was still a teenager. His
wife, Anne Hathaway, was
several years older than he
was. He carved his living
helping his father in the
family business. He had
three children when he left
for London in 1587. Some
people say that the reason
he had left his wife and
children was his love to
poetry and theatre.
There he became an actor. He
began to write plays too.
Shakespeare was both an
actor and a playwright. In
his works Shakespeare
escribed the most important
and dramatic events in life.
His plays were staged in
many theatres, translated
into many languages and
they made Shakespeare a
very popular man.
Most of his plays were performed in the Globe
Theatre, built on the bank of the River Thames.
William Shakespeare also wrote many
sonnets and poems.
His sonnets and poems
have being translated
many languages by
famous
translators;
such
as
Samuel
Marshak, and others. I
give an example of this
great work.
WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE
Sonnet CXXX
My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun;
Coral is far more red than her lips' red;
If snow be white, why then her breasts are dun;
If hairs be wires, black wires grow on her head.
ВИЛЬЯМ ШЕКСПИР
Сонет 130
Ее глаза на звезды не похожи,
Нельзя уста кораллами назвать,
Не белоснежна плеч открытых кожа,
И черной проволокой вьется прядь.
I have seen roses damasked, red and white,
But no such roses see I in her cheeks;
And in some perfumes is there more delight
Than in the breath that from my mistress reeks.
С дамасской розой, алой или белой,
Нельзя сравнить оттенок этих щек.
А тело пахнет так, как пахнет тело,
Не как фиалки нежный лепесток.
I love to hear her speak, yet well I know
That music hath a far more pleasing sound.
I grant I never saw a goddess go;
My mistress when she walks treads on the ground.
Ты не найдешь в ней совершенных линий,
Особенного света на челе.
Не знаю я, как шествуют богини,
Но милая ступает по земле.
And yet, by heaven, I think my love as rare
As any she belied with false compare.
И все ж она уступит тем едва ли,
Кого в сравненьях пышных оболгали.

Blest be ye man yt spares
thes stones,
