SOME FACTS FROM HIS
BIOGRAPHY :
 Walter Scott was born on August 15, 1771, in Edinburgh as the a

medicine. An early illness left him lame in the right leg, but he grew
up to be a man over six feet and great physical endurance.
HIS SHORT BIOGRAPHY
 He attended Edinburgh High School and then he studied arts and
law at Edinburgh University. Scott was apprenticed to his father in
1786 and in 1792 he was called to the bar. In 1799 he was appointed
sheriff depute of the county of Selkirk.
IN 1797 SCOTT MARRIED MARGARET
CHARLOTTE СHARPENTER. THEY HAD
F I V E C H I L D R E N.
HIS GREATEST WORKS
 In the 1810s Scott published several novels. In the 1820s appeared
Kenilworth (1821), Ivanhoe (1819),The Fortunes Of Nigel (1822), Peveril Of
The Peak (1823), Quentin Durward (1823), The Talisman (1825), Woodstock

SOME MOMENTS OF HIS
LIFE
 In 1820 Scott became a baronet. A few years later he founded the
Bannatyne Club, which published old Scottish documents. Scott
visited France in 1826 to collect some historical material of
Napoleon΄s life, which was published in 9 volumes in 1827.
A BIT OF HISTORICAL
FACTS
 Through the medium of Scott's novels, the violent religious and
political conflicts of the country's recent past could be seen as
belonging to history—which Scott defined, as the subtitle of
Waverley.
ONE OF THE GREATEST
WORKS OF WALTER SCOTT:
Where shall the lover rest
Whom the fates sever
From the true maiden's breast,
Parted for ever?-Where, through groves deep and high,
Sounds the fair billow,
Where early violets die,
Under the willow.
MY OPINION ABOUT THE

I have chosen the biography of Sir Walter Scott because I΄m
impressed by his novels. His books make us think about life and
human mutual relations .They teach us .I advice you to read his books
and I΄m sure you win life than.
