Australia is an attractive
and interesting country. It
can excite even the most
experienced travelers. There
are so many unique sights
in this country which
cannot be found elsewhere.
The main sights of this
country are of natural
origin, as it possesses rich
natural resources.
Sydney is the state capital of New South Wales and the
most populous city in Australia and Oceania. Located
on Australia's east coast, the metropolis surrounds the
world's largest natural harbour, and sprawls towards
the Blue Mountains to the west. Residents of Sydney
are known as "Sydneysiders".
The largest and the
most visited city in
Australia is Sydney.
With the population
over 4.6 million people,
the city hosts 2.7
million international
tourists a year.
There is a great number of attractions in Sydney. The most
well-known ones are Sydney Opera House, Sydney
Harbour Bridge, St Mary's Catholic Cathedral, Royal
Botanical Gardens.
The Sydney Opera House is one of Australia's
most
impressive
architecturally
designed
buildings. It was designed by Joern Utzon, from
Denmark.

St Mary's
Cathedral
St Mary's Cathedral is the spiritual home of Sydney's
Catholic community. It is the seat of the Archbishop of
Sydney, and stands on the site of the first Catholic Chapel
in Australia.
Constructed in local sandstone, the "Gothic Revival" style
of its architecture is reminiscent of the great medieval
cathedrals of Europe.

Now a suburb of Western
Sydney just 16 kilometres from
Sydney’s CBD, Sydney Olympic
Park was a development project
for the 2000 Olympic Games.
Today Sydney Olympic Park is
a popular location for premium
sporting and cultural events.

also home to the Sydney Royal
Easter Show, one of Sydney’s
