David Bowie
David Robert Jones
Most known as David Bowie who was an English rock-star, singer,
songwriter and actor.
About 50 years he was engaged in musical creativity and often
changed his image, that's why he is called the "chameleon of rock
A master of transformation, who shocked millions people with his
taste for experiment, taking on everything from glam to rock and
soul to electronica and punk.
David Bowie was born in Brixton, South London, England, on
January 8, 1947.
David showed an interest in music from an early age. At age
thirteen, inspired by the jazz of the London West End, he began
playing the saxophone. Bowie studied art, music and design,
including layout and typesetting.
At the age of 16 he works as an advertising agent and performs
with various groups, and also produces unrecognized singles.
Also David changed his last name to Bowie, a name that was
inspired by the knife developed by American pioneer Jim Bowie in
the 19th century.
Pop star
Bowie's first album was released in 1967 but it was "Space Oddity"
that first caught people's attention.
His next album, The Man Who Sold the World (1970), led him to
Ziggy Stardust
He liked to shock the public. So in 1972 he introduced the pop
world to Ziggy Stardust and his group «The Spiders from Mars».

His next albums about these characters made him a superstar. He brought
his love of mime, fashion and theater to his music, which allowed him to
challenge traditional views on style, gender and sexuality.
Dressed in wild costumes, showed us some wild future, Bowie, announced a
new era in rock music.
But as soon as Bowie turned into Stardust, he changed again. He
continued to create interesting and unusual characters and did a real
show at his concerts.

His innovative approach to stage performances had an impact on
the genre as a whole. Many music experts call Bowie the creator of
the genre, which determined the direction of its development in the
