Probably none of the heraldic signs in the world looks so fun, bright
and lovely as the emblem of Oxford. It is hard to say what caused
the presence of such interesting characters and an abundance of
flowers.
The world-famous Bodleian library in Oxford is
located in five large buildings and has many
branches and offices. The largest library of Thomas
Bodley, the second only to the British library.
The Oxford dining room is very famous,
because it was filmed in the famous
movie about Harry Potter.

Oscar Wilde, the author of the popular work even nowadays
"Portrait of Dorian Gray", an Irish writer, philosopher and poet, one
of the most famous playwriters of the Victorian period, was a
graduate of Oxford University.

Thomas Hobbes is an English philosopher and materialist of the
17th century, whose ideas greatly influenced modern
geometry, ethics, physics and history, one of the founders of
the theory of state sovereignty, entered Oxford University at
the age of 15 and successfully graduated.
Interesting facts
The famous and eternal work "Alice in Wonderland"
was written in the walls of Oxford University by Lewis
Carroll
John Tolkien, who wrote the trilogy "The Lord of the
Rings", while describing the castles was inspired by the
view of the Oxford University campus, executed in the
Gothic style.
At Oxford University, at
the Clarendon
Laboratory, there is an
electric bell that has
been ringing since
1840. Dry batteries for
the bell were installed
at its creation and
hermetically flooded
with molten sulfur, so
no one knows exactly
how they are
arranged.

I think Oxford university is one of the most well-known in the world.
Studying there or just attending this “Temple of science” is only a
dream for many people. In my work I tried to give you a very small
presentation of such a big university.
