Experimental and numerical researches on underlying marl strata influence on
load-carrying ability of rib pillars
Results of the investigation of dolomite, gypsum and marl mechanical properties
variation due to dampening are given. Dependencies of variations of rock strength and
deformation properties on humidity are established. With the use of mathematical modeling
methods the degree of load-carrying ability of rib pillars decrease due to humidity and
thickness of marl strata, bedding at the bottom of workable seam, is estimated
