b) The microphotograms are represented without introducing the corrections for absorption (depending on the wave length) in the anticathode, the
X-ray tube window. film and the media in the path of the X-rays. The introduction of these corrections could change the results of ref. [7].
c ) The author of ref. [7] confounds the duration of the K - L I IIll transition
with the life of the K-vacancy.
The above analysis jastifies the conclusion that the experimental data of
ref. [7] confirm the results of ref. [3]. A more rigorous solution of the problem
under discussion can only be obtained by the secondary excitation method
(fluorescence method) ; using this method the microphotograms must be recorded for different strictly definite temperatures.
