AMERICAN JOURNAL OF PHYSICAL ANTHROPOLOGY 141:504–505 (2010)
ERRATUM: N. Adachi, K.-I. Shinoda, K. Umetsu,
and H. Matsumura (2009) Mitochondrial DNA
analysis of Jomon skeletons from the Funadomari
site, Hokkaido, and its implication for the origins of
Native American. Am J Phys Anthropol 138: 255–265.
The authors regret that in their article some of the
information in Figure 3 and Tables 3 and 4 was
printed incorrectly. The errors stem from the fact that
the frequencies of haplogroup C and M10 in Negidal
population based on the data of Starikovskaya et al.
(2005) were reversed by mistake in Table 4. In consequence, pairwise Fst values between Negidal and other
populations (Table 3) and the NJ tree (Fig. 3) were
affected.
Corrections in Tables 3 and 4 are highlighted in
boldface.
This oversight only refers to the tables and figure
listed above, and does not affect the body of the article.
The corrected figure and tables are reprinted here.

b
A total of haplogroup Ds except for D1. In Okinawa Islanders, haplogroup D1 may be included in this group.
For these populations, haplogroups were inferred from the control region sequences.
c
For this population, haplogroups D1, G1 and C cannot be identified mainly from the absence of the control region data. Therefore, the frequency of these haplogroups was omitted.
d
Haplogroup assingment came into line with Starikovskaya et al., 2005.
