anisotropically expands the unit cell volume by 0.4%. PrFe11Ti and PrFe11TiH order ferromagnetically with Curie temperatures of 547 and 604 K, respectively. The combined
a.c. magnetic susceptibility, thermomagnetic, and 57Fe Moessbauer spectroscopic measurements indicate the absence of any spin reorientation below the ordering temperature and are consistent with a planar magnetic anisotropy for both compounds. The easy
magnetization direction is within the basal plane along the [100] direction. —
