Formation of a Novel Type of Reverse Microemulsion System and Its Application
in Synthesis of the Nanostructured La0.95 Ba0.05MnAl11O19 Catalyst. — The title catalyst is synthesized by hydrolysis of Ba(O-iPr)2 and Al(O-iPr)3 in a reverse microemulsion system consisting of an aqueous solution of stoichiometric La(NO3)3 and
Mn(NO3)2/iPrOH/BuOH. The samples are calcined at 1200 °C for 2 h and characterized by TEM, XRD, and N2-adsorption. The catalyst exhibits a high surface area of
65 m2/g and catalytic activity for high-temperature methane combustion. — (TENG,
