Ca1.5Li 11(In 22Li4S42)·44H2O is synthesized hydrothermally from aqueous solutions of
In(NO3)3, Li2S, and CaCl2 (autoclave, 150 °C, 3 d, 30% yield). The compound crystallizes in the space group Pbca with Z = 8 and contains P2 tetrahedral Li4In22 S18
44 clusters. One of the most prominent properties of the material is its fast ion conductivity
(0.15 Ω-1cm-1 at 27 °C), which is significantly higher than that of other well-known
