Magnetic Properties of Lone-Pair-Containing, Sandwich-Type Polyoxoanions:
Detailed Study of the Heteroatomic Effect. — The possible influence of the

diamagnetic heteroatoms X (X: As, Sb, Se, Te) on the magnetic exchange properties
of the three Cu2+ ions in the central belt of [Cu3(H2O)3(α-AsW9O32)2]12-,
[Cu3(H 2O) 3(α-SbW9O32)2]12-, [Cu3(H2O) 3(α-SeW9O32 )2]10-, and
[Cu3(H 2O) 3(α-TeW9O32)2]10- is characterized by EPR spectroscopy and magnetic
susceptibility measurements. It is suggested that the heteroatoms, containing lone pairs,
