Thermodynamic Study of Gaseous Manganese Phosphates MnPO3 and MnPO2.
The new gaseous title compounds exist in the vapor effusing from a Knudsen cell
52- 013 —
containing MnO and Mg2P2O7 as revealed by mass spectrometry. The standard enthalpies of formation of the new species MnPO3 and MnPO2 are determined to be -602.0
and -299.0 kJ/mol, respectively. The new species are further characterized by DFT calculations at the B3LYP level of theory and MP2 quantum chemical computations. —
