Study of a New Rate Increasing "Base Effect" in the Palladium-Catalyzed Amination of Aryl Iodides. — It is found that the rate of Pd-catalyzed amination of aryl
iodides can be controlled by amount as well as particle size and shape of carbonate base
used (Cs2CO3 of Acros: uniformely bulbed particles with narrow size distribution;
Cs2CO3 of Aldrich: irregularly shaped particles with a broad size distribution). Based
on this observation a general and efficient method for amination of aryl iodides with all
