Spectroscopic Properties of Yb3+:LuLiF4 Crystal Grown by the Czochralski Method for Laser Applications and Evaluation of Quenching Processes: A Comparison
with Yb3+:YLiF4. — The title crystal is synthesized in a vacuum-tight Czochralski system using LiF, LuF3, and YbF3 as starting materials. Yb3+:LuLiF4 is characterized by
IR absorption and emission, and Raman spectroscopy at room temperature and 12 K.
