new Li+ ionic conducting—high temperature superconducting intercalation complex
Li0.3IBi2Sr1.4La 0.1Ca 1.5Cu 2Oy is prepared by reacting Bi2Sr1.4La0.1 Ca1.5Cu2Oy (obtained
by conventional solid state reaction) with approximately 10 molar excess n-BuLi in
hexane at room temperature for several days, followed by heating with excess I2 at
170 °C for 1 h. The samples are characterized by powder XRD, XPS, XANES, and
magnetic susceptibility and ac impedance measurements. The intercalation complex of
LiI exhibits a Li+ ion conductivity in the order of ≈10-6 Ω-1cm-1. In combination with an
excellent electronic conductivity of the host lattice, this material can be a new type of
