Self-Assembly of the Mesoporous Electrode Material Li3Fe2(PO4)3 Using a Cationic Surfactant as the Template. — The title compound is synthesized from aqueous
solutions of FeSO4, H3PO4, HF, and LiOAc, using cationic cetyltrimethylammonium
chloride as template (318 K, 48 h followed by heating at 423 K and calcination in air
at 623 K for 3 h). The samples are characterized by powder XRD, TEM, 7Li MAS
NMR, Moessbauer spectroscopy, and cyclic voltammetry. The material exhibits a discharge capacity of about 140 mAh/g at 20 mA/g, and a value greater than 107 mAh/g
can be reached, even at a current density of 200 mA/g. The novel preparation method
may trigger applications of ordered mesoporous multi-metal phosphates in high-surface-area battery electrodes and other fields. — (ZHU, S.; ZHOU*, H.; MIYOSHI, T.;
