Microstructural, Thermal, and Electrical Properties of Bi1.7V0.3Sr 2Ca 2Cu 3Ox
Superconductor. — The title compound is prepared by melting a mix10- 241 Glass-Ceramic
ture of Bi2O3, SrCO3, CaCO3, CuO, and V2O5 in air (1150 °C, 90 min). The samples are
characterized by SEM, XRD, DTA, current-voltage characteristics, and Hall effect
measurements. Beside changing the phase, partial substitution of vanadium for Bi in
Bi2Sr2Ca2Cu3Ox to form the title compound has also different effects on the physical,
