2 (PO2NH)4·8H2O with M : Mg, Mn, Co and Zn. — The title compounds are prepared by simple addition of aq. MX2 (M: Mg; X: Cl; M: Mn, Co, Zn; X: NO3) to a solution of K4(PO2NH)4. The isotypic compounds crystallize in the monoclinic space
group P21/c with Z = 2 (single crystal XRD). The structure consists of layers of M2+
cations in octahedral oxygen coordination and (PO2 N H)44 anions. The layers are interconnected via hydrogen bonds. The P4N4 ring of the anion possesses a slightly distorted
chair conformation, which is supported by IR spectroscopy. — (ROEMER, S. R.;
