Electrical Properties of Ag1-xPb 18SbTe20 (x: 0, 0.1, 0.3). — Sintered polycrystalline
of the title compounds are characterized by electrical resistivity and Seebeck
15- 014 samples
coefficient measurements from room temperature to about 800 K. The electrical resistivity of all compounds increases from room temperature to around 500 K and
decreases from 500 to 800 K and is one order of magnitude higher than that of
state-of-the-art thermoelectric materials. The values of the Seebeck coefficients for
compounds with x = 0.1 and 0.3 are positive (p-type characteristics) and relatively high
around 400 µV/K at 373 K. The maximum value of the power factor is obtained for
