Structural Diversity of Low-Dimensional Compounds in
[M(en)2]2+/[Re6Q8(CN)6]4- Systems (M: Mn, Ni, Cu). — The structures of five new
octahedral rhenium chalcocyanide cluster compounds are determined by single crystal
XRD. Compounds (III) crystallize in the monoclinic space group Cmmm with Z = 2,
(IV) has a trigonal structure (space group P321, Z = 2), (VI) belongs to the monoclinic
space group P2/n (Z = 4), and (VIII) is also monoclinic (space group P21/n, Z = 4).
Compounds (III) and (VIII) have chain-like polymeric structures, whereas compound
(IV) exhibits a two-dimensional polymeric structure with negatively charged

2∞ [{Ni(en)2}3{Re6Te8(CN)6 }2 ] layers. Compound (VI) has a ionic structure where anionic [{Cu(en)2}{Re6Te8(CN)6}2]6- dimers are packed with [Cu(NH3)(en)2]2+ complexes and Et4N+ cations. — (BRYLEV, K. A.; PILET, G.; NAUMOV*, N. G.;
