Thermochemistry of Some Binary Alloys of Copper with the Lanthanide Metals
High-Temperature Direct Synthesis Calorimetry. — The standard enthalpies of
17- 021 by
formation of Cu2Ln (Ln: Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm) and Cu5Ln (Ln: Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Lu)
are measured by high-temperature direct synthesis calorimetry at 1373 K. The results
provide a systematic picture of the enthalpies of formation of Cu—lanthanide alloys in
