Highly Ordered Arrays of Metal/Semiconductor Core—Shell Nanoparticles with
Nanostructures and Photoluminescence. — Highly ordered In/In 2O3

core—shell nanoparticle arrays on Si substrates are prepared from In nanoparticle
arrays using a three-step oxidation process. By controlling the three-step oxidation process, the volume ratio of the oxide shell to the whole core—shell nanoparticle can be
adjusted continuously from 0 to 1, which results in fine-tuning of the intensity and
peak-shift of the photoluminescence of the samples. The tunable photoluminescence
