The Dimerization of SnCl2(g): Mass Spectrometric and Theoretical Studies. —
vaporization of solid SnCl2 is characterized by Knudsen effusion mass spectrom19- 012 The
etry in the temperature range of 382—504 K. The mass spectrum of the equilibrium
vapor indicate the existence of Sn+, SnCl+, S nCl+2 , Sn2 C l+3 , and Sn2 C l+4 ions. The
structure and vibrational properties of gaseous SnCl2 and Sn2Cl4 species are characterized by DFT and MP2 perturbation theoretical calculations. Using statistical thermodynamics, thermochemical functions such as the sublimation enthalpies are calculated
from the molecular parameters. — (HILPERT*, K.; ROSZAK, S.; SALONI, J.;
