Uranyl Complexation in Fluorinated Acids (HF, HBF4, HPF6, HTf2N): A Combined Experimental and Theoretical Study. — The complexation ability of F-, B F-4 ,
P F-6 , and Tf2N- toward uranyl ions in aqueous solution is studied by time-resolved
emission spectroscopy and X-ray absorption spectroscopy and the results are compared
with computational data. Tf2N- forms no complexes with uranyl, even at high concentration. Other fluorinated acids form inner-sphere complexes with UVI, in a monodentate fashion in the case of B F-4 and P F-6 . — (GAILLARD*, C.; EL AZZI, A.;
