Two Novel Transition-Metal Phosphite Compounds with 4-, 6- and 12-Membered
Hydrothermal Syntheses, Crystal Structures and Magnetic Properties of
20- 019 Rings:
Na2[M(HPO3)2] (M: Fe, Co). — The isotypic title compounds (II) crystallize in the
orthorhombic space group Pnma with Z = 4 (single crystal XRD). Their structures are
three-dimensional open frameworks with 4-, 6- and 12-membered polyhedral rings of
corner-sharing MO6 and HPO3 building units. The structures contain 12-membered ring
channel systems in which the sodium ions are located. Magnetic measurements for (IIb)
show different magnetic features in the low-temperature (5—30 K) and high-temperature ranges (100—320 K) suggesting the possible existence of a complex magnetic
structure. The magnetic behavior of (IIa) follows the Curie-Weiss law with
