A New Family of Isostructural Titanates, MLi2Ti6O14 (M: Sr, Ba, Pb). — Single
crystals of the title compounds are prepared by the flux method from mixtures of MO
(M: Sr, Ba, Pb), TiO2, and LiBO2 using LiBO2 as a high-temperature solvent. The three
MLi2Ti6O14 compounds crystallize in the orthorhombic space group Cmca with Z = 8.
The structure consists of a three-dimensional framework of edge- and corner-sharing
TiO6 octahedra. Li occupies the tetrahedral vacancies, while the M atoms are located
