Amination
O 0268
20- 044
Amination of Ethers Using Chloramine-T Hydrate and a Copper(I) Catalyst. —
The amination of C—H bonds activated by ether oxygen atoms can be performed in
the title reaction. Cyclic ethers afford stable hemiaminal products. For acyclic ethers,
imines are isolated which are formed by elimination of alcohol from the primarily
generated unstable hemiaminals. Benzylic positions are also activated by ether substituents in the ortho or para positions of an aryl substituent, where from the effect is transmitted by conjugation. — (ALBONE, D. P.; CHALLENGER, S.; DERRICK, A. M.;
