Effect of Substituents on the Strength of A—Cl- (A: Si, Ge, and Sn) Bonds in
Hypervalent Systems: A Cl-5, ACl4F-, and A(CH3)3 C l-2 . — The gas-phase strengths
21- 004 of the A—Cl- bonds in the title compounds are characterized by thresholds for collision-induced dissociation in a flowing afterglow-tandem mass spectrometer and quantum chemical computations at the B3LYP and MP2 levels of theory. Bond dissociation
