Structural Diversity of Sheets in Rubidium Uranyl Oxoselenates: Synthesis and
Crystal Structures of Rb2[(UO2)(SeO4)2(H2O)](H2O),
Rb2[(UO2)2(SeO4)3(H2O)2](H2O)4, and Rb4[(UO2)3(SeO4)5(H2O)]. — Single crystals
of the title compounds are grown by slow evaporation of aqueous solutions containing
UO2(NO3)2, Rb2CO3, and H2SeO4. Rb2[(UO2)(SeO4)2(H2O)]·H2O crystallizes in the
orthorhombic space group Pna21 with Z = 4, Rb2[(UO2)2(SeO4)3(H2O)2]·4H2O in the triclinic space group P1 with Z = 2, and Rb4[(UO2)3(SeO4)5(H2O)] in the orthorhombic
space group Pbnm with Z = 4. All three structures are based on uranyl selenate hydrate
sheets formed by corner-sharing pentagonal [UO7]8- bipyramids and [SeO4]2- tetrahedra. The Rb+ ions are located between the sheets. — (KRIVOVICHEV, S. V.;
