Chemiluminescent Reactions Induced by Gold Nanoparticles. — The reaction of
Au nanoparticles with a KIO4—NaOH—Na 2CO 3 system gives rise to chemolumines23- 015 cence
with three emission bands at 380—390, 430—450, and 490—500 nm, respectively. The linear relationship between the chemoluminescence intensity and the concentration of Au nanoparticles implies that Au nanoparticles may be sensitively detected by the chemoluminescence method, which can probably find future use in new biosensing and immunolabeling technologies. — (CUI*, H.; ZHANG, Z.-F.; SHI, M.-J.;
