Synthesis of Cobalt Oxyhydrate Superconductor Through a Disproportionation
Reaction Route. — A cobalt oxyhydrate superconductor with very low content of
sodium and relatively high content of hydronium ions, Na0.15(H3O) 0.2CoO2·xH2O is synthesized by disproportionation reaction of γ-Na0.7CoO2 in 1 M aq. HCl solution for 2 d
at room temperature followed by exposure to humidity for several days at room temperature. The samples are characterized by powder XRD and SEM. Magnetic susceptibility measurements indicate bulk superconductivity below 4.1 K. — (REN, Z.;
