Biphasic Aerobic Oxidation of Alcohols Catalyzed by Poly(ethylene glycol)-Stabilized Palladium Nanoparticles in Supercritical Carbon Dioxide. — The present
new catalytic system for the selective aerobic oxidation of alcohols is based on highly
dispersed nanoparticles in a poly(ethylene glycol) matrix with supercritical carbon
dioxide as the substrate and product phase providing a safe environment for the use of
molecular oxygen under solvent-free conditions. The PEG matrix prevents aggregation
