Structure and Thermal Stability of Novel Fluorophosphate Glasses. — Glasses
prepared in the PbF2—InF3—BaHPO4 system are characterized by IR and Raman spectroscopy and DTA. The structure of the glasses is mainly affected by BaHPO4 and InF3
contents. With decreasing BaHPO4 content, the glass structure gradually transforms
from metaphosphate to polyphosphate. The most stable glass, Pb25In15P60, is a promising material for fiber drawing and laser glasses when doped with rare earth ions. —
