Synthesis and Biological Evaluation of 6/7-exo-Methyl-3β-(4-iodo)phenyltropane-2β-carboxylic Acid Methyl Esters. — Phenyltropane derivatives such as
(IX)-(XI) and related 7-exomethyl analogues (derived from (V)) are synthesized and
evaluated for their in vitro receptor binding. Compounds (X), (XI), and the 7-exo-methyl analogue of (X) display affinity for all three monoamine transporters, however,
