New Unsymmetrical Hybrid Ferrocenylphosphine-Phosphoramidite Ligands
from H8-BINOL for Highly Efficient Rh-Catalyzed Enantioselective Hy31- 035 Derived
drogenation. — Ligands (I) and (II) combining a chiral carbon with a planar-chiral ferrocene backbone and an axial-chiral binaphthyl moiety are examined in rhodium-catalyzed hydrogenations of dehydroamino acids (III), enamides (V), and dimethyl itaconate (VII). Compared to the corresponding BINOL analogues, the H 8-BINOL derivatives (I) exhibit the same or higher enantioselectivity in the hydrogenation of (III) and
(VII). With ligand (II) only low enantioselectivites are achieved (19 to 59% e.e.). —
