The Structure of the Ti3Al Phase in Ti—Al and Ti—Al—Nb Alloys. — The alloys
Ti6.50Al1.50, Ti5.96 Al2.04, Ti5.69Al 2.31, Ti4.09Al3.52 Nb0.39, and Ti2.04Al 1.76Nb0.20 containing the
α2-phase are characterized by powder XRD and the shift in Ti atoms corresponding to
6(h) Wyckoff positions is calculated. The shift may be attributed to different site occupancies resulting in different atomic potentials. The atomic coordinates are useful to
