Magnetic and Electronic Transport Properties of CaMn1-xNbxO3. — Title comwith x = 0.1, 0.2, and 0.3 are synthesized by solid state reactions of stoichio32- 013 pounds
metric amounts of Nb2O5, MnO 2, and CaCO3 (1523 K, 72 h). As revealed by powder
XRD, the compounds crystallize in the orthorhombic GdFeO3-type structure. With
increasing Nb concentration, the compounds exhibit ferromagnetic, metamagnetic,
antiferromagnetic, and paramagnetic characteristics, respectively, and their magnetizations significantly reduce. The title compounds are insulators in the temperature range
5—400 K and their resistivities increase with increasing Nb content. — (GUO*, Y.;
