Development of Chiral Catalysts by Asymmetric Activation for Highly Enantioselective Diethylzinc Addition to Imines. — On the basis of the asymmetric activation
concept a combination of chiral imines, binaphthols and diethylzinc generates active
chiral zinc complexes which are highly effective in asymmetric catalytic diethylzinc
addition to in situ formed N-acylimines. In the presence of the most active catalyst of
the series, high enantioselectivities and high yields are provided for a wide range of
