Infrared Identification of Matrix Isolated H2O·O2. — The title complex is isolated
codeposition of H2O and O2 in Ar matrices at 11.5 K and characterized by IR spec33- 002 by
troscopy and ab initio calculations based on the quadratic configuration interaction
method including singles and doubles. The high abundance of H2O and O2 makes the
H2O·O2 complex likely to be significant in atmospheric and astrophysical chemistry.
