Photoluminescence Characteristics of (Y,Gd)P0.5V0.5O4: Tm3+ Phosphor Particles
by Coprecipitation Reaction. — The novel blue-emitting title material is
33- 009 Prepared
synthesized from HCl solutions of Ln2O3 (Ln: Y, Gd, Tm) and V 2O5 (70—80 °C) by
coprecipitation using a solution of H2O2, NH4OH, and (NH4)2HPO4. The samples are
characterized by XRD, SEM, and photoluminescence spectroscopy. The particles exhibit a narrow emission peak at 475 nm and a weak broad-band emission around
430 nm. It is expected that the title material would be a promising blue-emitting candidate for the plasma display panel or a specific detector phosphor. — (LAI, H.;
