Preparation of Controllable Crystalline Titania and Study on the Photocatalytic
Properties. — Nanocrystalline TiO2 catalysts with different anatase/rutile ratios and
high surface area are synthesized by a microemulsion-mediated hydrothermal method
from mixtures of Triton X-100, n-hexanol, cyclohexane, Ti(OBu)4, (NH4)2SO4, and
10 M HCl (autoclave, <120 °C, 13 h). The samples are characterized by XRD, IR, and
UV/VIS diffuse reflectance spectroscopy. The contents of anatase and rutile phases are
controlled by changing the proportion of Cl- and S O24 - in the aqueous phase of the microemulsion. The catalyst containing 74.2% anatase exhibits the highest photocatalytic
activity for photodegradation of methyl orange in water. — (YAN, M.; CHEN, F.;
