A New Cysteine-Derived Ligand as Catalyst for the Addition of Diethylzinc to
Aldehydes: The Importance of a "Free" Sulfide Site for Enantioselectivity. —
The disulfide ligand with fully alkylated N and O atoms is surprisingly found to be
superior to all other tested ligands. Lower reaction temperature decreases yield and
increases enantioselectivity in the case of the aromatic aldehydes (I). In the case of the
