Confined Electron-Transfer Reactions within a Molecular Metal Oxide "Trojan
Horse". — Compounds (III) and (IV) are characterized by single crystal XRD, IR,
UV/VIS spectroscopy, and DFT calculations. (III) crystallizes in the orthorhombic
space group Pnn2 with Z = 4 and (IV) in the monoclinic space group P21/c with Z = 4.
The anion of (IV) has a curious structure that includes two terminal water ligands,
which is unknown for closed-shell heteropolyoxometalates of any type. This new class
