Therefore, construction must be provided for-the models which will be'rela tively inexpensive but will cause the assemblies to have the same general appearance as the cor 16 responding full-sized structures. Referring to the drawing, in which a preferred embodiment of the invention is shown, reference characters 5 and 6 designate the end frames of a model or miniature truck assembly for minia 35 ture railway cars, the end frames 5 and 6 being connected together at their centers by a bolster ‘I. The end frames 5 and 6 are provided with suitable recesses 4 in their ends to receive the ends of shafts 8 and 9 which have car wheels 40 I0 mounted thereon. ' The end frames 5 and 6 and the bolster l are preferably cast from soft metal such as ordinary ' white metal, and are preferably cast to reproduce to scale the similar parts of full-sized structures. 45 Particular efforts are made to have the outer surfaces of the assembled model car truck ap pear to be true reproductions of the full-sized structures. When the end frames, the bolster, the shafts 50 and wheels have been assembled, the end frames must be free to adjust themselves somewhat in dependently of each other to accommodate for unevenness in the track or surface over which the model is to move, and the end frames must be '55 held to a limited movement toward and away nions I5 ‘which at their outer ends have integral 5 disks I6‘. ‘The disks I6 are disposedlin pocketsor recesses I‘? provided in inwardlyextending in-'-' tegralklugs' I8 formed upon the end frames 5' and 6, the recesses‘ or pockets IT being open at their_ upper ends until closed by‘fastening or closure 10 members I9 (Figs. 3, 4 and 5). It will be noted tnat‘the lugs I8 are provided with downwardly: extending slots 20 through which the trunnions I5 project, the construction being such that the trunnions may rotate in the slots 20 and are 15 slidably mounted therein. As best illustrated in Fig. 4, each of the lugs I8 is provided at its upper end with outwardly extending beads or ribs 22 to permit the associated closure or fastening mem ber I9 to be attached to the lug so as to prevent- an accidental removal of the bolster from the as sociated end frame. The closure or fastening members I9 are preferably formed from sheet metal which is su?iciently elastic to permit the fastening members to be snapped on and off the '25 lugs I8. It will be noted that each member I9 is formed with a lip or hook 23 at one end and with a lip or hook 24 at the other, which lip 24 is provided with an extension or ?nger piece 25 which may be grasped when it is desired to re- 30 move the member 29 from its lug I8. It is ob vious that the lips or hooks 23 and 24 may be snapped on and off the beads 22. . ' As best shown in Figs. 3 and 4, there is suf ?cient space in the recesses or pockets IT to per- 35 mit movement of the bolster l upwardly and downwardly with respect to the end frames 5 l and 6. ' When the apparatus shown in the drawing is to be assembled, it is only necessary to assemble 40 the wheels III with the shafts 8 and 9 and then assemble the shafts with the end frames 5 and 6,, after which the bolster may be dropped in place between the frames and the fastening or closure members I9 may be snapped in place. 45 The structure is then assembled and may be at tached to a miniature car. For this purpose, the bolster is provided with a, central bore 30 to receive a king pin (not shown). While I have shown and described certain em- 50 bodiments of my invention, it is to be understood that it is capable of many modi?cations. Changes, therefore in the construction and ar rangement may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as dis- 55 2 .7 \ 2,133,530 whereby said bolster is secured movably between said end frames. 3.
