(Cl. 132.—32)
2
This invention is concerned with a functionally
and structurally improved eyelash curler for ad
vantageously enhancing the appearance of hu
man eyelashes. Most eyelash curlers of the prior
art utilize a resilient or rubber pad generally
carried by a slidable jaw and the eyelashes to
be crimped are initially interposed between a
?xed jaw of the curler and the resilient pad
.
removal therefrom and wherein novel movably
guided latch means is employed for desirably dis
connectably locking the swingable door to sustain
thepad in a slightly clamped position. Other
important objects, features, and advantages will
appear fromythe following detailed speci?cation
considered in ‘the light of the accompanying
drawing wherein:

jaw. These adjuncts also have the tendency to
ing the lower portions of the handles. cut off- and
harden the resilient pad, thus destroying its ef
fectiveness. Also due to aging the resilient pad
in some instances becomes brittle. Because of
such processing of the resilient pad, occasionally
it is necessary to replace it by a relatively new
pad. To this end, where the old pad has become
undesirably processed by lubricating adjuncts or
hardened due to aging at times it is quite a dif
ficult task to e?ectively remove it apart from
digging it out of its supporting jaw. Often this
operation is tedious and a special tool is needed.

porting jaw for readily positioning or withdraw
ing the pad therefrom. The invention has as
another object the provision of bodily and mov
ably guided disconnectable components or com
plements comprising pad supporting means mov
able relatively towards and away from a ?xed
jaw of the eyelash curler. A further object is
realized in the provision of complementary com
ponents de?ning a channeled member adapted
to be opened or closed in the movement of one
of the components away from or towards its
companion component. The invention compre
hends as a further and important object the
provision of a novel resilient pad supporting
member in an eyelash curler wherein the sup
porting member is slidably guided relative to a
?xed jaw and wherein a door of the supporting
member is swingable to allow convenient insertion
of the rubber pad in the supporting member or
