The present invention relates to scaling or shutter
valves particularly for use in gas mains of large diam
eter.
For gas mains having large diameters shutters or ?aps
have proved successful as shut-off or sealing devices,
where the flap is pivotally carried in the pipe by three
levers in a manner that in its closed position it is uni
formly in contact with an annular sealing surface nor
