Certain of these objects are realized by using two
conductors ‘5'4 and 56

Thus operation of the Run button effects energization
40 of solenoid 18 and clutch 16 is engaged. The limit
switches are shown in the drawing in their respective posi
tions at the beginning of the press stroke.
In the drawing, the numeral 10 represents a switch
which may be actuated to connect a power source L1, L2,
L3 to a motor 12. The motor is connected to drive a press 45
14 through a clutch 16. The clutch 16 is engaged when
the solenoid 18 of an electrically operated air valve is
energized to open the valve.

We claim:

1. In combination, a ?rst saturable reactor having an
output circuit, a controlled device connected in said out
put circuit for operation when said ?rst reactor is saturat
ed, a second saturable reactor operable when saturated
for affording power for controlling said ?rst reactor, se
means comprising said power windings for energizing said
electrical means to e?ect operation of said device when
said reactor is saturated, switch means responsive to opera
tion of said device at predetermined times during its oper
ating cycle for rendering said control winding energizing
means ineiiective and for interrupting said maintaining

cycle to discontinue delivery of said current to the device.
8. In a control system for controlling the energization
